Some more LT² + GoPro fun in the DW Drums showroom... this time with the amazing Marco Minnemann.

Happy New Year!
LT² produced a few videos that launched at the DW NAMM booth last week.
This ICON Snare video is a great example of limitations driving creativity. LT² shot all of the manufacturing footage and edited the whole piece (including the music), but the footage of the artists was shot by a photographer and was horrific; very bad lighting and the worst audio (super high noise floor) possible. But it drove LT² to find a way to make it work. Thus, the black and white ghost effect. A repeating motto for LT² is, "Sometimes you don't get what you want, but rather want what you get." No doubt, an awesome project with 3 amazing musicians.
While you watch, keep in mind there is almost no paint on these drums. The designs are achieved with laser cut wood inlays.

Lastly, the official DW Booth tour with John Good, showing off all the new Drum Candy DW has to offer in 2014

LT² proudly presents Venturian Space Neighbors via four GoPro Hero3+ cameras on a sunny September day at the Ventura Pier in California.

November 25, 2013

LT² goes a step further with the creativity using Six GoPro Hero3+ cameras to shoot Thomas Pridgen in the DW Drums Showroom.
Check out those angles, and the 100fps to 24fps real SlowMo!

November 19, 2013

Neil Peart (drummer & lyricist of the band Rush) invited LT²'s Ryan, alone, behind closed doors, to photograph him while playing drums...just for fun.
He posted one of the photos (hi-res) on his recent blog:

LT² has also once again upped the "Ghost Effect" using the new Hero3+ camera from GoPro at a track day at Willow Springs International Raceway.
We sure noticed a big difference in the video quality as well as battery life and a new super wide field of view.
Still including a dash cam, and proud to say even the lap times are making progress, now clocking a 1:40.

Lastly, LT² is proud to have filmed and produced the latest "Candlyland IV" video letting one of DW Drums' most talented artist, Gil Sharone, take each kit in their showroom for a proper ride.

Some more LT² "Ghost Effect" action from the 9/1/13 track day, this time with a DASH CAM to really give some perspective on just how fast we go.
More info in the video description on YouTube.

LT² gets ghosty again, this time with a REAR-FACING CAMERA edited in during passes, using some GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition Cameras at Willow Springs in Rosamond, CA with track days.

First off, I'm stoked to announce a new partnership with GoPro.
Some of the new Hero3 Black Edition cameras on the way, and I can't wait to get down and dirty with them to make ome beautiful footage.
They are some seriously pro cameras in a tiny little package. The new wifi app when you can viewfind and configure the camera is superb.

LT² knows times is of the essence, and making more of less is always best.
For the second time, LT² got "ghosted" at the world-famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
This time, I cleaved a proud 18 seconds off the fastest lap time from my previous, maiden track day, getting around now in 1:54.
The 1098S Tricolore Ducati felt very able and willing. Again, serving as both cameraman, rider, and editor ;)
You'll notice the "Ghost Effect" is slightly different than the previous one posted previously. In this version, the rider appears more as the lean angle increases.

LT² also recently spent some time with Mick Fleetwood, drummer and founding member of Fleetwood Mac, producing this documentary about the making of his new All-Cherry kit by DW Drums.
Cameras, Editing, and Direction by your's truly.

Once again, time has flown by as LT² has been continuing the quest to make awesome videos.
Most recently, LT² got the chance to make some fresh "Ghost Footage" at the world-famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Yes, this is me as both cameraman, rider, and editor ;)

Next up, LT² got personally invited by drummer Chad Smith to get an all-access pass to a Red Hot Chili Pepper show in San Diego, California.
LT² filmed the band during soundcheck, did a backstage interview with Chad, and also filmed from the stage during the concert for
Here's a taste of the action:

Finally, while continuing to work as Digital Media Manager for "The Drummer's Choice" (and arguably the finest drums in the world) DW Drums a.k.a Drum Workshop, Inc. LT² put together a series of videos to launch the company's anticipated new drum shell, the Collector's Series Maple/Mahogany Drums.

The Long Beach International Motorcycle Show is just around the corner, and LT² is working with California's leading track day organization to show track day virgins what it's all about. Look for that video posted here soon!

...A New Logo Marks a New Era for LT²

After "laying low" on the freelance front for a few months, business has picked back up. I am happy to say that a lot of wheels are in motion, and by wheels, I mean things that move ;)
There's not much I can say at the moment, but didn't want to leave the blog negelected.

LT² just won a "Drummie" for Manufacturer Website from Drum! Magazine
for my recent website work with DW Drums ( ). This was quite an honor, and I am very thankful to all the people who voted. I pour a lot of my life into DW's websites, videos, and social media, and it means a great deal to me to have it so appreciated.

In the works are a website for a sporting goods store, spa, and possibly one of the best drummers in the world,
and the weather is getting warmer whch means more videos for Motoyard Trackdays ( ).
We'll keep you posted when it's all finished.

In the meantime, a new band is pumping fresh blood into the world of progressive, I'm not plugging the Venturian Space Neighbors... but rather the dualing 8-string gutarists+drummer trio named Animals As Leaders. They just played a sold out show in Hollywood, CA at the Key Club and LT² was there to capture the light:

What a way to ring in the new year...
Last Friday 1/28, a co-worker of mine @ DW Drums informed me over some Marshall's Bodacious BBQ That the Foo Fighters and Mariachi El Bronx were going to play a secret show for less than 300 lucky people at Santa Barbara's intimate club, Velvet Jones. Supposedly the place to buy the tickets would be revealed via the band's twitter account a couple hours before showtime.

It seemed way too good to be true, and I had made other plans with a handful of people, but this is one of those unreal opportunities/dreams that you just have to explore. At around 3pm, Dave started texting pictures on @foofighters twitter of the commute to Santa Barbara. It was on.
Suffice to say, me and 3 of my favorite people in the world were able to get in line and see the show of a lifetime. I mean...forget the fact that I grew up on this band and Nirvana. Forget the fact that Dave Grohl is basically my musical idol and has played on both QOTSA Songs For the Deaf and has a side project with Zeppelin bassist JPJ. What I got hung up on the most, was that just a few weeks prior, I was watching a DVD of the Foos playing Wembley Stadium to 86,000 people who probably paid more than $40 a ticket. I just got a wristband to see Dave and his band of rock gods from an arms length away at a tiny club. Not only that, but they would kick off the night by playing their new, unreleased album from soup to nuts. The opening band was epic as well, El Bronx Mariachi will blow everyone away in a very unexpected way. As far as the new Foo tunes, they are savage and confirm that this album will take no prisoners. The second half of the Foo's 2+ hour set was all the "moldy oldies" as Dave called them. Unbelieveable. I'm without words. Sooo greatful to stumble on this opportunity. The lease I could do is share a few pixels with you:
